A two-hour tour

A few weeks ago, Steve & I joined more than 40 of my high school classmates who graduated from Hughesville High School in '74 for our 35th reunion. We took a two-hour riverboat cruise on the Hiawatha Riverboat, a great little tourist attraction here along the Susquehanna River. We had a good time and re-connected with a lot of people that we haven't seen in a long time!

Oswego

A few weeks ago, we drove up to Oswego to visit Davy at college. Such a beautiful location for a campus, as you can see.

The river ran right along the back of our hotel..

Lake Ontario is behind us...

...a whole month has passed

and I haven't updated my blog. Can't say that I've missed it. I will try to get back into the groove of updating more regularly, but I can't promise anything!

I have a really nice story about this guy who is a neighbor of ours. which is due to be published in next week's Luminary.
In the meantime, you can check out his website here.

Ed is a Fantasy artist who has fun painting stuff like this:

Due to the sad state of the economy...

there have been some changes going on at the management level of the Muncy Luminary. The dust is settling, management has finally contacted me about how the changes will affect me..specifically, that I will be getting paid only one handful of peanuts instead of two! The paper is losing money and they don't want to stop printing it (it was started in 1841!) so they are hoping to continue by cutting corners

On the move

Next week, Stacey is planning to fly out to see Jacquie & Dan in Utah...and Steve and I will be driving up to see Davy in Oswego (and to celebrate his 21st birthday, coming up on the 7th). We were planning to go this weekend but Steve gave me his nasty cold so we are waiting...
I actually stayed home from work yesterday - I barely slept the night before - and I feel better today than I did yesterday morning...

Something that I have been doing weekly for the last year and 4 months will soon be coming to an end. I am contemplating how to handle this...more to come...

Steve's Golf Week...

Although he didn't get one photo of himself, he took pictures of his three friends...and the wildlife!

A little visitor...

One day, I opened the mail to find a large brown envelope from Steve's brother's little grandson, Josh, who lives in Ohio. His class had read Jan Brett's "Gingerbread Baby" and then made their own Gingerbread Baby, who they were to send to someone to visit with...

Josh is the cutie-pie in the front:

Baby came with us to pick up Rachael at school one weekend:
He checked out her bed...
He joined us for pizza at Grotto's:

He came with me to work:
And since babies aren't allowed in prisons, he had to check out Steve's office from the outside...
And then later, we went to Steve's favorite place to shop:
and he got to hide with the golf covers (can you find him?)

Weekend in DC

Last month, we took a drive down to see Stacey. On Saturday night, we took the metro in to the Kennedy Center for a concert. One of these shuttles was waiting to pick us up at the metro to take us right to the door!

We entered to see the Hall of Nations:

And after the concert, we went up to the roof for the view:

The next day, we stopped at the American Art Museum:

Stacey's favorite painting:

Steve & Stacey with Tin Lizzie:

After lunch, we took a stroll to see the White House...

and take pictures of each other in front of the White House...James and Stacey...

and Steve and me...
