Let me tell you about my son, Davy. He's 18 now...and ready to graduate from high school next month. He'll be heading off to college in NY in the fall...he's a great kid; gets good grades, works hard at his job at a banquet facility, is responsible, trustworthy, and fun to hang around with. And he always tells his momma that he loves her and misses her. He gives me a big smooch and big bear hugs when we see each other and when we say goodbye. He's a delight to watch as he develops into a young man - one that any mother would be proud of.Yesterday, when I drove into the driveway at home after work, I was greeted by this dramatic arrangement of silk flowers. When I saw that they were from Davy, I marveled at how much the arrangement reminded me of my boy - big and bold and making a statement without being (too) outrageous...
Every time I look at it, I smile. Thanks, honey. (And thank you for telling the florist to sign the card "Love, Davy" - I know you prefer to be called 'Dave' now - but you know that you'll always be 'Davy' to me.) I love you.

How neat! My "baby" boy is graduating from college this coming Saturday. It's hard to believe -- they do grow up. And they make you proud...
Happy Mother's Day from one MOB to another!
