A funny thing happened on the golf course...

I know, I know. I live in rural Pennsylvania. How exciting can it be? Well, let me tell ya, it may not be exciting, but there sure are some funny things that happen around here! One day Steve came home from an afternoon at the local golf course and tells me that he and his friends saw something pretty comical on the course...
all of a sudden, they heard the unmistakable "clip-clop" of horse hooves and when they looked up, they saw a horse galloping down the cart path and it was pulling an Amish buggy! They all thought that it was just one of the nearbly Amish farmers taking a shortcut through the course, but when they looked more closely, they saw that there was no one in the buggy...it was a runaway horse that had escaped! I asked if they tried to stop it, and Steve said " No - you don't stop a horse pulling a buggy. It will stop when it wants to!" It's hard to tell where that horse finally did stop - and whether it was reunited quickly with its owner...

And Caleb just told me another funny story. He works as a groundkeeper at the same golf course...and he said that today, he saw a couple of those motorized, remote-controlled golf bags (the ones on three wheels) buzzing by themselves down the fairway...but that's not all! They were chasing a gaggle of geese! Apparently, the golf bags' owners thought it would be funny to chase the geese (there are a LOT of them that live on the course and they are quite a nuisance to the golfers). I can imagine that it was a surprising sight to see golf bags chasing geese - with the golfers standing back with their remote controls in hand!
