One of the first rooms they assembled was the guest bedroom, decorated with all of the antique furniture and accessories that they picked up on their stop here last month. This is the bed I slept in as a kid...it is part of a whole set (bed, dresser, washstand, side table and 2 chairs) that my great grandfather bought in the 1880s. The washbowl & pitcher set is also ca. 1880s. The highchair was used by my grandfather and every generation since (including Jacquie), the wedding ring quilt was handmade in the 1940s by Jacquie's grandma (who just passed away) and the portrait is Jacquie's greatgrandmother (painted by her g-grandfather) on the Wheal side....this room is brimming with history!
Jacquie requests that you should: "please make your reservations with the Kammerlohr "Bed and maybe some Breakfast" at your earliest convenience!! :)" if you plan to visit SLC soon!
