refreshing beverages...

Steve likes to drink Scotch (blech!) when we go out on the deck for his evening cigar.

I like to drink things that taste good!
Like my all-time-favorite - the yummy Fuzzy Navel. The ingredients? Very very simple: Fill a glass with ice, pour in a slug of Peach Schnapps and an equal slug of orange juice. Want it to have a little more kick? Add a slug of vodka (but then it is known as a "Hairy Navel").

Last summer, a friend introduced me to the Melon Ball (2 slugs of melon liquor, 1 slug of vodka, and pineapple juice to fill your glass. Add a marachino cherry and some melon chunks)

Recently, Steve & I were at dinner and the resturant was featuring the Appletini - yes, the same drink that is a favorite of J.D. on the show Scrubs. I tried it - and it has become another one of my favorites...tastes just like a sweet/tart green apple with a kick! I make mine with a slug and a half of Smirnoff® Green Apple Twist vodka, a slug of Sour Apple Pucker schnapps and ice in a martini glass. I don't do the cherry - I add a few slices of apple...

(1 slug = about an oz. - more or less...)
