80 West....no, East!

When I drove Jacquie to Colorado in 2001 to start her first year at college, we always seemed to have a problem when we took a rest stop and then tried to get back onto Route 80. We occasionally took the wrong entrance ramp - the one for 80 East, which was obviously the wrong direction. More than once, Jacquie - with the map in her hands - would say, "Mom! Go West!"
Well, she called me a few days ago after she had dropped a friend off at the Salt Lake City airport (which is west of the city), and she was on her way back home (which is east of the city). As we were talking, she mentioned something about going the wrong way...yes, she had gotten on 80 West, not East. Suddenly, she was seeing signs for the Salt Lake...you know, the BIG LAKE. She pulled off at the exit and decided to do a little sight-seeing since she was there anyway...
