Our first leg of our trip down to North Myrtle took us to Virgina where we stayed overnite near Richmond. In the morning, we went to IHOP for breakfast before we hit the road for the day. When we opened the menu, I noticed that IHOP offers a Senior Citizen discount to anyone 55 and older...so I pointed out that fact to Steve (who turned 55 in July). I was surprised to hear him order something from the "Senior" menu (which were basically the same items with one slice of bacon/sausage/ham instead of two, and for a dollar or two less than the regular breakfast combos). The 18-ish year old waitress took our orders and then Steve looked at me when she left and said "She didn't even ask to see my ID!!" No, she didn't, dear. I guess all of that gray in your beard kinda gives away your age! *This was Steve's very first senior discount, too!*
