When Steve & I got together, I soon discovered that the hippie I knew back in the 70s continues to be a hippie at heart...and still enjoys listening to his favorite music - especially Grateful Dead, Yes, and Pink Floyd. Unfortunately, most of the original members of these bands are either dead or in no shape to sing or cavort around on a stage. One remaining Dead member, Bob Weir, has capitalized on the Dead's popularity by touring with "Ratdog" and playing all of the Dead classics. Another "tribute" band is one that we are going to see tomorrow night. Caleb & Steve's friend Harry are going with us to the 'Pink Floyd Experience.'I'm not sure what to expect...don't ask me about the floating pig...Steve tells me it's from one of their albums...and I think the only songs I know are 'Time' and 'Another Brick in the Wall.'
After a whole day of proofreading, I'm sure I'll be ready for this “psychedelic”, “conceptual” and “provocative” show (I am quoting from their web site). I'll let you know how it goes...

True Bobby does still play Dead classics as well as HIS OWN SONGS and songs written and recorded by his band Ratdog. To say he only sings Dead tunes is incorrect. He sounds great and plays as good if not better than he did with the Dead. Perhaps you ought to go check Ratdog out before you make judgements.
