A few days ago, we decorated the Christmas tree in the office. I had been dreading the whole process of doing the same thing at home...but last night, I went up to the attic and started dragging boxes down the stairs. Steve is not a big fan of decorating for the holidays but he allows me to humor myself with the spreading of holiday-themed Puffkins and Ty bears and my one Dept. 56 house (leftovers from my CheckerBee days...). After I get everything out and I start decorating the tree, it's fun to see the ornaments - each one has a vivid memory connected to it. Most of them were made by the kids...and many of them are the dated ones. I found the earliest one - dated 1982...the year Jacquie was born...24 years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago. Oh wait - it WAS!
