Jenn's comment about my choice of comfort food made me wonder a little about my upbringing...in a very rural area with influences from PA Dutch, German, English, and living on a farm. To tell you the truth, I first considered "fried sweet Lebanon bologna" (http://www.seltzerslebanonbologna.com/) as my comfort food. But I knew that would cause concern with my more urban acquaintances! Oh well! I embrace my odd food choices and fondly recall my memory of sizzling sweet Lebanon in the frying pan, watching the edges curl up until the circle of bologna formed a bowl shape, which I folded in half to fit between 2 pieces of white bread. Yum!

My dad actually eats fried bologna...and I will fess up to having had it in the past. But sweet? That brings a whole new (kind of scary) dimension to it. I'm sticking with the opinion that the only things that should be fried and sweet are bananas and ice cream.
