Weekend in New Hampshire

This year, for my birthday gift, Jacquie & Dan invited me up for a weekend with them during one of Camp Berea's Women's Retreats. So on Friday, I took the day off and drove up to New Hampshire so see how the newlyweds were doing...
Their cabin got a new ceiling this year (there were issues with a leaky roof and the resulting ceiling damage...) and Jacquie painted their living room this great green color.
On Saturday afternoon, before Jacquie & I went for our boat ride, we stopped in to check on Dan while he was on duty as lifeguard for the women who decided to take a dip in the brisk lake water!

Our boat awaits...

Jacquie...as we take a tour of Newfound Lake.

...and me

Saturday evening, Jacquie & I made a recipe that Rachael had found - Hershey's Quicky Sticky Bread - which reminds us of Monkey Bread - only bigger, so we've renamed it Gorilla Bread! This batch started falling out of the pan since we did a batch-and-a-half but didn't use a pan-and-a-half...

Sunday morning dawned a clear, beautiful day...

We say goodbye...
and as I drive out of New Hampshire, I couldn't resist - I had to stop and take a picture of the Moose X-ing sign and the already turning leaves.
