The good, the bad, and the ugly!

When you plan a vacation at the beach, there is always a chance that you'll have crappy weather. It was unpleasant, at the very least, when there are small children involved. But Steve & I were on our own this time and, although some days were rainy and cool and the wind howled (and I mean literally howled!), we just dug out our raincoats and headed for the outlets to do some early Christmas shopping!
We had three good beach days - and the mornings of those days dawned bright and beautiful. The water glistened around the pier, as you can see (I hope) in the first photo. On the morning after an extremely windy day (I think it was Wednesday), the surf was crashing and the wind was still howling but there were still morning beach walkers - probably looking for shells.
