...tie it up with a bow

One of the things I do at work is help out with the newly formed retiree group for county employees. They started meeting in July and there is a group of about 40 who regularly meet and do lunch and take bus trips and are renewing the friendships they had when they were working together. This Thursday is their Christmas lunch at the Valley Inn (http://valleyinnonline.com - check out the banquet room) and they will be receiving a little gift - compliments of the county commissioners - a pair of gloves. I brought them home over the weekend to tie each one up in a bow & candy cane...
The programs are all printed and ready to go, Santa will be stopping in to distribute the gifts, fun is a brewin'!

my inferior knowledge about everything in life was proven to me once again today. in other news, my thesis presentation is on saturday. hopefully i'll have something of worth to present in the 10-12 minutes i am alotted. oh, and the one bright spot on the horizon is that i'm going to winter ball with my friend dave. but we really are still just friends, despite the fact that grandma is convinced we're going to get married now. but she can think whatever she wants because she's sending me money to get my hair done at the salon (because she has images of these being our engagement photos i think). whatever the cause- i get to have my hair done and look purty :).

Those gloves look very inviting. You're so crafty.

I found my Puffkins Moose in the closet today. I meant to bring him into work. I'll do that Monday. Then I can look at him till January and think of my dear friend, Joan.

I miss you!
